Born and bred Londoner Sam Bellis spent his teenage years listening to the music that defined the late 1990s and early 2000s in London; Garage and Drum & Bass. A dedicated raver from as soon as he was old enough, his first experience of the underground music scene was at Drum & Bass raves, and he’s been hooked ever since.
Around six years ago he began to immerse himself in House & Techno whilst at the same time beginning to ply he trade as a DJ. What began as three friends playing records together, first in their bedrooms, and later at small underground parties soon developed into the DJ trio Deep.End.Soundsytem or D.E.S. Known for their infectious b2b2b2 sets, D.E.S are respected regulars on the underground House & Techno scene. As part of D.E.S Sam has played many a set in Room 3 at iconic London club Fabric, as well as more intimate warehouse spaces around the capital.
Sam’s first experience of Fuse was as a raver and after much time on the dancefloor building a love and understanding of the Fuse sound, he was invited to play as part of D.E.S. Sam’s ability to seamlessly move from stripped back atmospheric sounds through to deeper bass-heavy beats cemented him as a Fuse favourite from early on.
Sam is currently busy in the studio working hard on his first productions, so watch this space to see what one of the most recent additions to the Fuse crew has to offer.
